Wow! What a story about what actually can be done in other countries to promote and develop Aussie Rules, and on a shoe string too.

Although only hazzarding a guess at what is spent on the various combines each year, (they would almost certainly have to be in the region of $50,000 or more I reckon, taking in airfares, accomodation costs, meals, and hiring of venues etc.) just imagine how many kids (hundreds or even a thousand or more) could be introduced to the game and enticed into taking up the sport (all potential future AFL elite players) by this bloke and AFL Great Britain and at half the cost of a combine. (No airfare costs for a start).

And all this great work being done by a pom :-) GO Ian!!!
