Love it.

Playing in Vic Metro supers over the last 6 years I've had tremendous fun - including winning a decent premiership and playing on people like Paul Salmon, Paul Hudson, Chris Johnson, Kris Barlow, Marcus Graham and Joel Smith and crossing paths with Joe Misiti, Dean Rice, Daniel Harford, Libba, Richie Vandenberg, Cory McGrath, and I'm sure I'm forgetting a couple now. Point is - especially when aged in the 40s - we're all just mature folk who have to work the next day and are out there for fun - it's just that some people never miss with their kicks!! And the first time against Harford, Smith and Vandenberg they were all only 36 and ran us off our feet!! I was never going to be good enough to get within cooee of these players in they prime so the privilege to do so in recent years has been mine entirely. That though was the icing on the cake - getting out across winter and making new friends has been the real reward. And setting an active example to my kids - including sharing the premiership 4 years ago with them.
