I cannot believe the Garudas won. Their players looked so small at Government House that I looked tall in comparison. Congratulations. They must have played well as a team..

The Garudas are developing their footy know how quite nicely and yes - teaming well together. They aren't physically imposing - and the Sri Lankans were all most a greater threat to themselves - - need to curb the enthusiasm but understandable first game.
For the Garudas - #8 will take mark of the tournament - keep the cameras aimed at him!! I had about 3 almost speccies on from him, the shot in the article was dropped - but, keep on trying!!!

Bear in mind it was the first time a lot of the Sri Lankans had played a full-scale match, whereas the Indonesians have been playing for a while, and learning alongside Aussie expats in the Asian scene.

Hopefully the Sri Lankans can return home from the IC enthused to get a domestic league off the ground though.
