Unfortunately the annual Arizona AFL Metro Footy World Invitational has had to be cancelled for 2005, with issues relating to field availability. But the good news for US footballers is that a new tournament has been announced - the Wild West Shootout, to be held in Las Vegas, Nevada. Confirmed starters are the Mojave Greens and Tucson Javelinas. The following is a press release from the organisers.

The first ever Wild West Shootout Australian Football Tournament is to be held Saturday, April 16, on the campus of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
Sixteen Teams will compete in this 9-A-SIDE Footy Fiesta.Sponsored by GAUDIN FORD, this promises to be an excellent opener for the 2005 Australan Football season in America. An event worthy of the first ever Televised Australian Football in the United States.
