History:   2008 saw the establishment of the Lao Elephants, a predominantly expat side competing against other similar clubs throughout Asia.

In 2009 the country held its first official domestic match, with the Northerners defeating Sepon.

Outlook (2009):   The ‘phants have already played matches against Vietnam and Thailand in 2010. Due to their playing squad being located in different parts of the country, regular fixtures remain a challenge.

Other points of interest:   Possibly the only men's footy club in the world wearing pink!
