History:   Australian rules football started in Portugal with the creation of the Lisbon Dockers in 2010. The Dockers have so far only held internal training sessions, but hope to get involved in matches against wider European competition in 2011. They were a surprise inclusion on the first list of potential attendees to the 2011 International Cup, having been in contact with the AFL, but they will not attend before possibly 2014.
