Over a week ago, 25 brave young boys left Vanuatu – many for their first trip overseas – to represent their country at the AFL youth cup Oceania challenge in Suva Fiji. The boys will return as worldly men. They should all be so very proud of their efforts!

This special group of young men are the first full team to represent Vanuatu in the AFL and so a... lot of interest from home and abroad has shadowed their every move. AFL coaches and players from around the pacific and Australia have expressed great respect for the way our boys went about the challenges that they faced.

Respect for coaches and parents, love of the game and a ferocious attack at the footy was how their efforts were summed up.
