The NT has produced more than their fair share of AFL players, especially Aboriginal stars, and many wish the Territory had it's own AFL side. Unfortunately the small population and different weather patterns make that dream unlikely to be realised for the forseeable future. But it is good to see the AFL has begun staging games there, with the Western Bulldogs playing Port Adelaide on Saturday night (August 14th). There is a report on the build up to the match, by Paul Gough, on the AFL website.
