North America The Pittsburgh Wallabies have successfully staged the 2004 Steel City Boomerang Cup, and in doing so taken home the silverware.

As previewed on worldfootynews.com, the tournament featured the clubs Philadelphia Hawks, Cincinnati Dockers, North Carolina Tigers, and hosts the Pittsburgh Wallabies. At the end of the round-robin series, Pittsburgh finished clear with 2 wins 1 loss, with Philly and the Tigers costing each other a chance to claim the title, fighting out a tough draw. Cincinnati, having a tough year, finished with just the one win, ironically against the overall winners Pittsburgh.

The tournament will have provided a good workout for the clubs, from the US east/north-east, with the US Nationals only a few weeks away. For further details on the Boomerang Cup, see the full article on USFooty.
