Despite the TV guides indicating the Werribee vs Geelong would be the ABC TV VFL match for broadcast this Saturday, a late change has seen ABC now set to broadcast the Karmichael Hunt VFL debut from Craigieburn. The telecast is for ABC in Melbourne and presumably across Victoria, as well as a live online stream to Australia. A few days later it should also be viewable across Australia online from the ABC's iview.
As reported in Fairfax - Coburg, and Craigieburn, prepare for Hunt's debut:
Coburg general manager Lee Fraser successfully lobbied AFL Victoria to get the game televised on the ABC, saying Hunt's debut "was just too good an opportunity to miss." The Geelong v Werribee game was originally scheduled for broadcast, and still appears on the VFL's website as the appointed match, but the ABC will telecast the Coburg v Gold Coast match from 1pm on ABC1, and will be live streaming on its website to the rest of Australia. The game starts at 1.10pm.
