2010 All Australian Team announced

The established stars of the AFL competition have dominated selection in the team of the year with just seven new players nominated for All Australian selection for the first time tonight in the 2010 Four’N Twenty All Australian Team.
The top four teams of the premiership season – Collingwood, the Geelong Cats, St Kilda and the Western Bulldogs – dominated the team with a combined 14 players between them, reflecting the success of the best teams in the competition in 2010. Just four players in Coleman Medallist Jack Riewoldt, West Coast small forward Mark Le Cras and Melbourne pair James Frawley and Mark Jamar were selected from sides that missed the 2010 finals series.
A total of 10 players – Gary Ablett, Paul Chapman, Corey Enright, Brendon Goddard, Chris Judd, Brian Lake, Leigh Montagna, Aaron Sandilands, Joel Selwood and Dane Swan – retained their places from the 2009 side with Judd winning selection for the fifth time in his career as the most-capped member of the side.
Hawthorn’s Luke Hodge was named as All Australian captain for the first time with Gary Ablett as his deputy. Ablett has now won selection for the last four consecutive years, the best record of any current player in the competition, while teammate Corey Enright and Fremantle’s Aaron Sandilands have both won selection for the last three consecutive years.
