For a bit of fun take a look at the Youtube video put together by two Australian girls kicking the footy around the world. A similar idea has been mooted before as a promo video for the International Cup with players from each country kicking the footy around the world, but is yet to happen.

Yeah we wanted to do this several times, just a matter of coordinating everyone, but always ended up so busy preparing for the Cups ourselves that we never made it happen, now here is one family who did it! Good stuff.

What a brilliant idea and concept - to do something similar for the IC would be great. Could it be trialled on a smaller scale for the Euro Champs this year in Dublin?

Yeah the idea was to have a player from one country kick it off screen to be marked by a player from another country, preferably in their national jumper. Maybe including a 1 sentence comment about the game or the IC. If someone handy with video editing with some spare time wants to work on that with us then let us know. We'd post it up here and on our youtube channel and FB group etc.

Fantastic idea and brilliantly done by the girls (and Dad). From my own perspective I love how they have managed to combine the aspects of Australian Rules football, youth, the girls leading the way for other girls to follow, technology and the overiding theme of embracing the game worldwide into one delightful little package. (The "Carn The Dons" message at the very end added a very sweet icing to the whole deal). Congratulations to the family, and I hope they have set up the template for international clubs to join together and create something very similar. Might even throw the gauntlet down for our Pyramid Power Brother Clubs to try something similar.
