Ireland game is delayed due to play stopped for injury (stretcher used).  Player was Muiris Bartley but he seems to be okay now.  A blood rule too, Fiji hitting hard. Note scoreboard at ground does not always match AFL stream (for the matches they are streaming).  We'll try to sort out exact 1/4 by 1/4 scores when the match scorecards are signed off by the umpires.

Indonesia on debut so everyone's first look. As expected their are very slightly built and getting rag dolled a bit by the heavy set Nauruans.  But the Garudas are definitely feisty and quick and plenty of them showing some footy skills.  But Nauru are a tough ask first up and they scoreboard is reflecting that.  Pakistan also showing they have some guys that know what they're doing, not a walk in the park for South Africa.  USA Freedom and Northern Lights are looking well matched, Canadians just a bit more efficient going forward. Heavy rain during third quarter has slowed down most games, though Nauru don't seem to be affected as they carry on remorselessly.

Japan is holding up well against the fleet footed PNG Mosquitoes, and the Chinese Dragons are making sure Canada doesn't get away with some good defensive work. Great Britain already looking ominous against France. At times the PNG team is stop start, other times it's razzle dazzle stuff, but Japan, despite the scoreboard, are giving plenty. Canada and Great Britain now starting to take control as the wet playing surface is reducing scoring somewhat. As the games continue it is PNG, Great Britain and Canada exerting their authority now, though the scoreboards do not reflect the fight that Japan, France and China are putting up. In the end three very convincing wins as Japan and China fell off the pace. Good work by France to snag a goal towards the end against Great Britain.
