Nordsjælland AFL blueprint on the table in Denmark

The town of Birkerød could soon be home to Denmark's newest Australian Rules club, the Birkerød Bombers. Formed by members of the nearby Farum Cats, the Bombers probably won't be ready for the DAFL next season - but they could have a place in a new developmental league until they've grown to a level where they can compete with the established Copenhagen area clubs.

Aisake officially joins Carlton

Europe Aisake O’hAilpin (pictured, courtesy of Carlton FC) was officially placed on AFL club Carlton's international rookie list today. The young Irishman joins his brother Setanta, who has spent much of the past year on the list and is expected to step up to senior level sometime in 2005. Aisake has been given Anthony Franchina's old number 45. Franchina has been a great friend of Setanta in his stay at Carlton.

Europe Rumours continue in Ireland that AFL club Carlton have offered Aisake O'hAilpin the chance to trial with them. Aisake is the younger brother of Setanta, already showing great promise on Carlton's rookie list, and Sean Og, who starred for Ireland in the recent International Rules series.

Mogens Hansen DAFL\'s Best and Fairest, Reading take the Sheepstation Cup

The DAFL held the annual post-season Sheepstation Cup and its end of season awards ceremonies on the weekend of September 25th and 26th, with North Copenhagen's Mogens Hansen taking the Sitch Medal for the Best and Fairest player in the DAFL and Britain's Reading Roos defeating the DAFL Wannabees 38-33 in the Cup Final.
