What a superb performance from the Adelaide Crows, they were too strong for Collingwood, winning by 14-points to take top spot and the minor premiership in 2021. 

The Crows will have a week off next week, as they have booked a home preliminary final in the second week of the 2021 NAB AFLW finals series. 

The Crows pressure was relentless on Sunday afternoon at Norwood Oval.

They showed the Pies and the rest of the competition that they will again be the premiership favourites this season, as they recorded the 4.7 (31) to 2.5 (17) win to finish their home and away season. 

The Crows will have a week off and try to make history and become the first three time AFLW premiers.. 

With top spot up for grabs, the Adelaide Crows brought a finals type intensity and Collingwood were unable to match it with the Crows.

Footy in South Africa, like most parts of the world shut down when Covid-19 hit early in 2020.  Despite the efforts of citizens and authorities there are still around 110 deaths a day (7 day average) occurring in the nation attributed to the virus.  This has come down from almost 600 deaths per day at the last peak.. 

Across the nation a number of other sports have resumed and in the North West province some former AFL South Africa employees want Aussie Rules to start again.   During 2020 the development officers who were previously employed had to be stood down as footy was unable to be played throughout the nation.

West Coast Eagles proved too strong for Geelong, after some second quarter brilliance from Indigenous woman Imahra Cameron steered her side to a massive 39-point victory at Mineral Resources Park on Monday twilight. 

Cameron nailed through three goals in six minutes and this quick succession of goals helped to establish the 8.5 (53) to 2.2 (14) win at Perth. 

It was a happy monday for the Eagles, but a sad one for the Cats as they are still without a win after seven matches and the Eagles have recorded two wins this season.

It was Cameron's best match of the season, as she everything she touched was quality. 

She only had six disposals for the match to go along with her three goals. 

On the Irish front for the Eagles, sisters Grace Kelly and Niamh Kelly were lively with two goals each. 

Round seven is complete and no team remains undefeated after the Brisbane Lions became the first side this season to put an end to Collingwood's perfect run. 

It was another winning streak brought to an end by the Lions, as they ended Fremantle's winning streak of 11 in round five. 

With the win, the Brisbane Lions have become a geniune premiership contender and go equal first along with Fremantle and Collingwood on the ladder with a 6-1 win-loss record.

North Melbourne continued their winning streak and now have won three in a row. 

North Melbourne's Jasmine Garner put on a show in Tasmania, showing her greatness as a player. 

After seven rounds, Fremantle Docker's Gemma Houghton leads the AFLW goalkicking with 12 goals.

Round six was a round where all the top teams flexed their muscles with massive wins.

Collingwood showed once again why they are the premier team in the competition this season keeping their perfect record intact, after they were able to take their game to the next level and win convincingly when challenged by the Western Bulldogs.

Adelaide Crows kicked their highest ever score of 13.7 (85) and almost scored the highest ever score in the competition, but were one point shy of the Western Bulldogs all-time score. 

Collingwood's Chloe Molloy showed why she is a star of our game with her forward pressure and two goals when her Pies had all the momentum in the third term. 

After six rounds, Molloy leads the AFLW goalkicking along with Erin Phillips and Gemma Houghton with 11 goals.

After a tight opening half, Collingwood came out and stamped their authority on the match in the third quarter with four goals to run out 36-point winners over the Western Bulldogs at Victoria Park on Sunday afternoon. 

A four-game winning streak came to an end for the Dogs, after the Pies swooped with seven second quarter goals. 

With the win the Pies have now won six in a row, as they reclaimed their spot as ladder leaders with the 7.9 (51) to 2.3 (15) victory at their spiritual home.

The Pies sent a message to the rest of the competition this afternoon that the premiership cup is there's for the taking after they steamrolled the Dogs in the second half.

The Dogs were left shellshocked and did not have any answers to stop the dominant performance from the Pies.

No international players participated in this game. 

Round five was the first ever Indigenous round in the AFLW and it did not disappoint. 

Collingwood are the only undefeated side and continued to show why they are a real premiership threat this season. 

Richmond finally broke through with a history breaking first AFLW win. 

The match of the round was the last game between two winless sides, the West Coast Eagles and the Gold Coast Suns with it going down to the wire.

It was anyone's game in the dying minutes of the match, as the West Coast Eagles recorded their maiden victory this season by a point over Gold Coast Suns on Sunday at Mineral Resources Park.

For the Eagles, it is their second victory in its AFLW history and it is their highest ever AFLW score. 

The Eagles' Mikayla Bowen announced herself to the rest of the competition with her 21 disposals (67 percent efficiency), three tackles and a goal.

Round 4 saw three games without international players and three international players out with injury, but one exciting debut and another player back on the lists.
